Say Cheese!!!!

Both me and sister love to pose for pictures and say "cheese" for the camera. I usually get a goofy, cute look on my face when I pose for the camera and sister....well, she can't exactly say "cheese" yet but I bet she is thinking it!

A Day at the Park

Daddy, mommy, sissy and I went to Coyote Pond Park (right by our house) to swing and have fun at the park. We also took Spike with us. I loved playing on the swings, slide and play structure with daddy while mommy cruised sister around the park. She, of course, slept the whole time...I sure hope she does more than eat, poop and sleep! ;)

Before you know it, I will be up and running through the park. I am doing warm water therapy now too once a week so my legs will be super strong!

Thank you Auntie Gina and Grammy!

I love my room and am so glad that I have an auntie and grammy who are so talented! For those of you who are reading this....Auntie and Grammy painted the diamonds on the wall. Mommy painted my dresser and little flower table while Daddy did the chair rail.
Grammy has not only been taking care of brother to help mom but she also made all of my bedding and so much more--covered my rocking chair, bibs, burb cloths, sweaters, etc....I love it all!
Thank you family! I love you but I am loving all of the attention I get and I still want to sleep on your laps instead of my crib!!!

Family Fun!

Having a sister is turning out to be fun! I get to be close to mom and dad but I also get to hug sister and she hugs me.

Sometimes,
mommy and daddy have to say "gentle"
because I get a little excited and don't know my own strength (hey....after
all, it's their fault for making me do all of this therapy and growing so strong=>!) Sometimes, I just sit and stare at her when she is in her swing....she looks peaceful and when she cries, it is almost like I know what she wants....we have our own
language already. Sister may be getting bigger but I am still the big brother=>

Daniella's visitors!

I had so many visitors in the hospital and once I got home we had even more! Too bad we did not get photos of everyone. I met most of my Tios and Tias as well as my nephews and a few fun friends. Grammy and Grampy were troopers since I was born at 3:18am, they had to stay up for a longtime. Jennie and her daughters took care of Dante while mommy gave birth to me! Thanks guys--I can't wait to hang out with you as I get older:)

Daniella Sue Davila is here!

I am finally here! Mommy and Grammy shopped for several hours and walked around sowe could get this show on the road and I think itobviously worked! Mom had contractions 10 min apart on Wednesday and they kept going until late Thursday night when they were only 5 minutes apart. At that time, it was off to Kaiser in Roseville and were checked in at midnight (on Friday morning, April 1st!)

At that point, contractions were sharp and often but mommy was not dilating...I was born
right on time--born on my due date of April 1, 2011 (and no, I am not April Fools-ing you)! I weighed 9lbs and 5oz and was 20.5 inches long with lots of dark brown hair and cute little lips. I was born via c-section at 3:18am and boy was it a good thing since mommy's doctor thought I was only going to be around 7lbs!
What a chunk a monk I was....I thinned out a bit from the day I was born but am already outgrowing my newborn clothes.
I am the one and only granddaughter on the Dambrosio side so you know I am already getting spoiled and the Davila's are also spoiling me rotten (and boy do I love it!)

Stayed tuned for more posts and pictures of how I am growing and developing..... :)

Celebrating each stage of progress-- Dante...a little closer to crawling!

It has been a long road and over a year of therapy to get to this point. Dante is one step closer to crawling and even though he usually fights tooth and and nail when doing his exercises with the Physical Therapist, he is a trooper with daddy and Baby Einstein (go figure)! In this video, Baby Einstein dvd is playing to distract him and he is wearing his "hip helpers" which help keep his legs closer together and aids with tone issues.
Pretty soon he will be crawling and mom and dad will not be able to stop him from getting into everything!

February and March were busy months!

February and March were busy months!! I spent lots of time cozied next to mom (and Spike) while she had sister growing in her belly. I loved to pat mommy's tummy -- after all, a big brother's job is to love and take care of his little sister!

I also went to a birthday party for my friend Sofia where we all dressed up in fancy clothes and I ate my first PB&J!!!

Many of my days were spent with my friends Hannah, Drew and Jennie...they used to watch me while mommy was at work....they read me stories, took me to the park and played silly time with me:)

I also posed for a calendar shoot in my cool new bathing suit. The calendar is a fundraiser to support the Down Syndrome Information Alliance....it will help to spread awareness and celebrate the beautiful faces and personalities of kiddos like me with Down syndrome. Don't worry....once it is published, I will be hitting all of my family and friends up to buy one with me in it!!!! ;)

Happy Birthday Grammy and Mommy!

In March, we celebrated both Mom and Grammy's birthdays! We went to Bucca di Beppo and I ate my way through dinner! I had chicken and pasta carbonara with spaghetti. It was so good!!! (Daddy was eyeing my carbonara....back off daddy!) I also had a little red velvet cake! I also played with my nephews and they had fun watching the Baby Einstein dvd with me:) Oh yeah...a few days later, I also had a meltdown on mom's birthday dinner....lots of teething made me fussy but I still found a way to eat lots of food (chicken and snow peas, fried rice etc....) and make a huge mess....sorry to our friends at Lincoln Chinese for the trail of food I left on the floor!
