Step Up for Down Syndrome!

Team Dante was formed to do a walk a thon the day after my birthday. This event held a special place in my family's heart because it helped to raise money for awareness efforts and programs for kiddos like me with Down Syndrome. I was so blessed to have such a rock star team! We had over 70 walkers and the most spirited team ever! Lots of family and friends from the bay area, new friends from Lincoln and Rocklin and even mommy's friends from the Lab and a few doggies. Everyone yelled and cheered loud when they called our names...Auntie Sheri was the ring leader of the cheers with Auntie Kim and cousin Nico also adding some good cheering...Nico ran around like a maniac yelling for Team Dante...I loved it! We all had matching shirts with my picture on it and "Team Dante" thanks to my wonderful Grammy....she made them all!! Everyone complimented me on our team:) There are so many great photos taken by daddy's friend Cash...I included the link below along with these photos as a sneak peak. My 1st Birthday and Fun Circus Party

Oh my goodness! I am getting to be such a big boy! I turned 1 on November 7th and mommy and daddy threw me a Circus party with all of my family and friends...what a great time:) We played in the jumpy, did some face painting, had sack races and competed in a clown ball toss. We ate a ton of food, I played with my birthday cake and cried because I was so tired but I looked so cute because I was sporting an adorable clown costume from my Grammy (she made it!) My cousin Gabby even flew in for the event...It was so fun spending time with her:) Too bad I will only turn 1 once--I could celebrate like that every year...not sure that mommy and daddy could handle it though;)

Special Olympics -- Joe Jonas Fun Run

I did my first 5K run....ok a 5K walk...ok really it was a 5K stroll in my stroller but what a great day! I even got a medal for my valiant efforts! My friend Alex raised so much money for this great cause. She is amazing and I am so proud to be her friend. As a matter a fact, she raised so much money that she got to meet Joe Jonas...mom and Auntie Cindy thought he was a "cutie" and she took a picture with him on stage. He presented her with an award because she raised so much money:) Go Alex!!!1

My NY trip was so fun!

I had so much fun on my trip to New York to see Grandma, Tio, Titi Ada and Millie and my primos! I gambled in Las Vegas on our layover, played roulette with my primos in Long Island, cuddles with Grandma in West Islip and slept on mommy and daddy on the plane:) I was so good on the plane. Once we got there, I played with Grandma, Titi Ada and Titi Millie while Uncle Joe and I had some great male bonding. I also went to a party for my cousin Randy and met all of my East Coast family. They were so sweet to me:) What a blast--I hope to go back sometime soon!

Apple Hill and The Pony Ride!

I went to Apple Hill with Mommy, Daddy and Grammy. I rode on a pony for the first time. Daddy had to help me sit up a bit but it was so fun! I did not even cry=> Yeeehaw! Ride 'em cowboy!

Dante loves his watermelon and BebePod! 9 months!

Have you seen me eat my new favorite food? Watermelon! Mommy or grammy stuff watermelon in this net thing and there is no stoppin me! It is a sticky mess and I love it! The picture on the left is the look I gave to grammy when she tried to get too close....watch out now!

This picture on the right is me in my BebePod blowing raspberries at the camera.... what a cool invention! I can go to restaurants with mommy and daddy and not have to sit in that icky car seat! I feel like such a big boy!

Sitting and jammin on my piano!

It has been 5 weeks since my last post! Well let's see....I am rolling all over the place and now I am even sitting on my own. Lots of work with my ladies (OT, PT, and Early Intervention) have given me the strength to sit up like a big boy.

I get so hyped when...

I get so hyped when daddy blows rasberries! He does them so much louder than me and they always make me laugh=> Mommy caught this one on film. Don't worry though, after the film ran out and daddy ran out of breath, I belly laughed.....and mommy gave me a bath since daddy doesn't know the meaning of "say it, don't spray it!"

Grampy loves to help with my bottle

Maybe I can get him to change my poopy diaper next! He loves to give me kisses and is really good at helping make sure I do not drop my bottle when I am eating. I like to pinch his arms with my little toes=> And of course, Spike is close by on the other side of his leg....Grampy has to share his attention with both of us;)

Hello

Hello.... I thought I would take a break from rolling all around the floor to say hi. Yes, I turn over and roll around....front to back and back to front....look out, I am on the move. Sitting unsupported and crawling are next!

All of my hard work at physical therapy and occupational therapy is paying off. I love it because mom and dad think they are doing exercises with me all day but really, its just playing on a big ball and playing catch the moving toys....I just love it!

Isabella, Lane, Shawn and Tom Curtin visit Lincoln!

Yeah! Isabella and Lane came all the way from Livermore to see me and we had a really fun time:) I was a bit sleepy after a long day of play. They even brought their dog Jag and he was like a horse for me to ride on. Titi Shawna held me in her arms and I napped for a while, then it was time to play with the kids again:)

Me and my Faria cousins

Did you hear the news? I can't believe it! Titi Gina and Tia Corey bought a house right by me! That means I get to play with my Faria cousins all the time now=> We always have so much fun and they love to protect and take care of me. I will even go to school with Gianni. When he is getting ready for his last year at Twelve Bridges Elementary, I will be starting. I will know the BMOC....Big Man on Campus....and then I will take his place;)

I love my mommy

I love my mommy....she let me cruise around with no shoes on, no pants on and with just this macho muscle sleeve shirt on...and then she gave me watermelon! Oh....life is good in Lincoln.

I also have teeth that won't come in. I chew on my hands all day long hoping it will help them to come in....forget the pacifier, a teething ring or a wet rag....I have a chubby little fist to nibble on!

Feliz Cinco de Mayo Mis Amigos!

Today I celebrated Cinco de Mayo in the traditional fashion....with chips, salsa and a corona pancho on my baby bottle. I was feel incredibly festive while mommy, daddy and I dined on the patio in of our new home in Lincoln. Esta muy excellente!

Golfing anyone?

These past few weeks have been fun as we visited our new home in Lincoln. My room is painted and decorated....I even have a monkey bathroom. I absolutely love having my lunch in my highchair because there is plenty of room without mommy crashing me into the crowded kitchen in our other house. Can't wait until we are officially moved in!

This picture to the right is me on my way to my first golf tournament last month in Hayward. It was fun--I went with daddy, mommy, Titi Shawna and Titi Kimmy and Brian and Tom too! Do you like my cool duds? I don't look like I enjoyed myself but I did get a golf ball from a pro after he finished on the 18th hole. Pretty cool, huh?
